Geography and the 19th Century

In the 19th Century Europe became the center of power in global trade. The Industrial Revolution handed these European countries the means to gain superiority over nations that previously held the upper hand in matters of trade. The Industrial Revolution also brings to light the reason that geography was so crucial to the success of Europe in the 19th century. when England had their Industrial revolution, it seeked to expand and to use their new technologies and to trade their goods to other countries, so naturally the benefits of the industrial revolution soon became the benefits of all of England's neighbors. This exemplifies that if one region is hit with a boom of new ideas, and technology, the entire geographic region can reap the benefits.
