We've now (briefly) seen two models for dealing with upheaval and destruction of the Great War. WRITE a blog post in which you compare and contrast Italian and German fascism and Russian communism. Make sure your post has a conceptual thesis; don't just list the ways in which fascism and communism are similar and different.
Fascism and Communism both have similar characteristics because they are both very idealistic, but Fascism favors the government and it being in control of the people, rather than every person having equal rights, like communism.
Fascists believe in the country's prosperity itself and nationalism for its country. They favor war and attempt to expand into other countries. Basically, their main goal is to do what is necessary to help their country prosper. As long as there is a positive effect for the entire country, they don't care if there are negative effects on minor citizens. Fascism uses violence to achieve their goals and use force to show their power, which is the opposite of communism. Communists favor a nationalized economy, a unified working class, and a world with no struggle for power. Their goal was to have everybody equal and to overthrow the middle and upper class. Even though the communists in Russia had to be violent to achieve their goal, it was necessary to reach their goal of peace and a utopia of free education, free health care, and free services. Overall, they have difference goals in the end, but have similar techniques of achieving them.
