Cabaret

Berlin: The politically dissatisfied and turbulent atmosphere in Berlin of the early thirties made the German people more susceptible to the Nazi party’s charisma and propaganda.

Nazi: The Nazi party came to power due to fear of communism, but remained there because the Germans were too weak to take control once the goal had been achieved.

Cabaret: The cabaret, while still a form of escapism, reflected the troubles of the outside world in a way that an audience could happily, mindlessly, relate to.
