Book Banning in India and Pakistan

Why did the author publish the book? How come Mohammed was the one who 'had' to be the person responsible for the partition? Why don't the leaders of the countries want their people to read the book? Why did they ban it?

For me, I'd like to know why the author published the book. What message was he trying to get across to the people of India and Pakistan? Now that the book is banned, it will be hard for those people to find out. The book was banned because it stated that, instead of Mohammed, a different politician was responsible for the partition. I'm curious why the idea of anybody other than Mohammed being responsible of the partition is shut down. Is it religious? Do the leaders not want their people believing anything other than the norm?

It's important to answer these questions to find out more about why these types of books are banned. The leaders of India and Pakistan banned this book so that the people of their countries would not read it. If they are concealing information, even in books, then they might be afraid of something, maybe rebellion, or even change in belief.
